Our Short Story

International
Piano Fest Subotica

Founded in 2014, the international piano festival ‘Piano Fest’ has grown to become one of the most outstanding classical music events in Subotica and its wider region.

The main objective of the Electe Association, the festival organizer, and its artistic director, Görög Noémi, is to promote classical music through high-quality concerts.

Overall, during previous festivals, the audience had a chance to see nearly 100 pianists from around 20 countries perform at the city’s most prominent venues: the Main Hall of the City Hall, the Contemporary Art Gallery and the Municipal Music School.

The participants included, to name but a few, Daniele Petralia (Italy), Joo Hee Seo (South Korea), Nada Kolundžia, Vladimir Milošević, Tijana Andrejić Tenji, Alexander Đermanović (Serbia), Alexander Sinchuk(Russia), Olga and Xenia Kemova (Russia), Clara and Marie Becker (Germany), József Balog, Gergely Bogányi, Tamás Érdi, Krisztina Fejes, János Palojtay (Hungary).

The Piano Fest traditionally includes the popular Master Class, held by the Japanese-Israeli duo Tami Kanazawa and Yuval Admony.

"When thinking of the wonderful Piano Fest in Subotica Tami and i have the most exhilarating memories and experiences. Both the fest and the course we are privileged to teach. The festival hosts wonderful local and international piano duos and soloists - and enjoys the most keen and warm audience - in the beautiful city hall. The atmosphere is magic. In the course we enjoy local and foreign students with an appetite for knowledge and dedicated teachers who invest their hearts in the youth. This is why we wait each year to return to this very unique and exquisite event - run by Electe with the most supportive, friendly and professional team any artists could wish for."
